The other profile

What if one day you discover that there is a double of yours in the world? Coincidence or identity theft? The director of The Other Profile sets out in search of himself… or rather of those who, through Facebook, pretend to be him and have a profitable business in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
French director Armel Hostiou discovers that he has a second Facebook account: it is not simply a namesake, it is rather a false self who uses his image and has a large network of friends located in the area of Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The director’s first reaction is to notify the social network of what is clearly identity theft but what he gets is a polite denial: the other profile is not fake and has a thriving business, online… and directorial! Confused, Armel Hostiou decides to leave for Kinshasa in search of his virtual/real double. The days are studded with absurd encounters with lawyers, computer technicians, oracles, situationist artists and anyone who can offer him some clue useful to his investigation. The Other Profile moves with irony and acumen on the ridge between true and false in a journey that will drag him out of the virtual world to throw him into the labyrinthine reality of a Central African metropolis.
