Tribute to Alina Gorlova

The story of a Ukrainian female soldier who is struggling to rebuild a normal life after leaving her weapons, while no one recognizes her psychological trauma.

“No obvious signs” is the phrase that Ukrainian soldiers hear in hospitals, where they arrive with psychological trauma, in need of help. But, as long as their bodies show no injuries, not only doctors but society doesn’t recognize their problem either. The film tells the story of Oksana Yakubova, a female soldier returning from the war. Speaking to psychologists, in an effort to overcome her post-traumatic stress and panic attacks, the woman hardly tries to return to a normal life. The documentary shows his path, from the beginning of rehabilitation until she returns to work. What lies behind the scenes of the heroic videos of fighters in Ukraine? Where does the war end for them, when they stop fighting and return to a peaceful life?
