Kalbinur Sidik

Uyghur activist who fled Xinjiang after suffering Chinese repression. A former teacher in Urumqi, in 2016 she was forced to work in two “re-education camps,” where she witnessed systematic torture and abuse. Persecuted and subjected to forced sterilization, she has lived in exile in the Netherlands since 2019. Despite constant threats, she tirelessly denounces the atrocities and persecution against her people.
