ANDREI UJICA AND HIS IMPOSSIBLE FILM ABOUT THE BEATLES:

THINGS WE SAID TODAY

For more than twelve years, Andrei Ujica has been making a documentary about the famous North American tour of the Beatles. It is a film that was supposed to be ready in 2014 but which has not yet known the darkness of the movie theaters until today. For the first time ever, Things We Said Today comes to theaters in a rough cut version (a non-definitive montage)

Andrei Ujica (Timisoara, 1951) is a professor of Mediology and author of films considered as great classics in the history of cinema and as world references in the field of found footage. Videograms of a revolution (co-directed with Harun Farocki in 1992) became a milestone for the relationship between the media and political power in Europe at the end of the communist era. Out of the present (1995) deals with the prolonged journey in space of the Russian cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev. Nicolae Ceaușescu’s Autobiography (2010), which completes the trilogy dedicated to the end of communism in Romania, has won numerous awards around the world. He has been at work for more than a decade on Things we said today, an archive reconstruction of the famous North American tour of the Beatles.
