Film Winner of the Audience Award at the Berlinale 2025

In November 1992, a racially motivated arson attack in Mölln, Germany, disrupted the lives of İbrahim Arslan and his family. Only seven years old, İbrahim survives but loses his sister, cousin, and grandmother. After the attack, the town receives hundreds of solidarity letters that remain ignored for nearly three decades. İbrahim’s moving journey of discovery is intertwined with encounters with three authors of those letters. The rediscovered testimonies create a visual and emotional bridge between past and present. The film follows İbrahim and his brothers, offering a complex portrait of the trauma that still deeply marks them today.
