A filmmaker and her exiled father return to a forgotten Kosovo. Stitching together childhood memories, the imagination unravels the traumas of war and rekindles with great poetry the pulse of fragile, lost moments of joy.
After 50 years of exile, Asllan returns to his Kosovo with his daughter Goddess to find the enchanted village of his stories. Makermal, however, no longer exists: the ’98 war has left only rubble and new walls at the cemetery. In an act of poetic resistance, father and daughter engage survivors to enact lost memories. Between fiction and reality, Asllan seeks the truth about her mother’s disappearance, turning grief into a collective healing ritual.
