Through a creative weaving of archival footage and interviews with architect, urbanist and residents, it reveals how design and the perception of beauty played a role in an invisible war of annexation. After the Israeli conquest of East Jerusalem in 1967, Palestinian lands were expropriated and neighborhoods banned from expansion to make way for a modern city designed to reinforce the myth of Jewish continuity on occupied lands. Should architect and urbanist simply execute government policies or follow their own ethical responsibility?
