Trans Faris and his punk band “Shh…Diam!”, which means “shut up!” in the Malay language, shout their truth to the world. Theirs is the journey of a family that has chosen itself, infusing courage with wit, humor and irresistible charm. Queer as Punk invites the audience to enter the lives of the band members and the changing political landscape of Malaysia, a country that denies the rights of queer people.
