The portrait of an artist from other times: his paintings reflect an ancient and simple universe, linked to peasant tradition, nature and magical rites, which are repeated with the changing seasons.

Ivan Prykhodko is one of the last traditional artists in Ukraine. Self-taught, he lives in the countryside, in a world apart, dedicating himself to work in the fields, to animals and to painting: everything that comes from his brushstrokes is a simple and honest form of art. His perception of the outside world reflects an interiority full of joy and beauty. One day, an art collector shows up at his door, intrigued by the rumors that circulate about him, and from that moment many will be looking for him, amazed by the strength of his works. He was invited to exhibit at the Art Arsenal in Kiev, the most important exhibition space in the country. At that point he will have the possibility to choose whether to leave the house in the countryside for the charm and comfort of city life. A touching and very current story: what about this artist and these places?
