Retrospective: Non siamo stati “Italiani brava gente”
Neocolonialism in Africa, from the end of the nineteenth century to the seventies of the last century, seen through archive images.
The film briefly retraces the stages of European colonialism in Africa, from the Berlin Conference of 1884 up to the achievement of national independence for the majority of African countries after World War II, following the victorious Chinese Revolution and the independence of India. The documentary then tackles the new form of domination that some European countries have continued to practice in order to exploit the great wealth and raw materials of the continent.
