CONFESSIONS OF A MOLE

After years abroad, filmmaker Mo Tan returns to China for New Year’s Eve, but the warmth of the nest turns into a vice. Between old grudges and her parents’ bizarre obsession with a “cursed” mole on her face, Mo falters. Then, the shock of fate: a diagnosis of breast cancer that turns superstition into stark reality. Between documentary and stop-motion, the film is a tragicomic journey into the wounds of a family that, in the shadow of trauma, desperately tries to find itself and rediscover love before time runs out.
