Exactly a century ago Umberto Nobile challenged the North Pole with his airships. His exploits-from the triumph of the Norge (1926) to the tragedy ofItaly (1928) and the legendary “red tent”-tell, yes, of humanity exploring the unknown to expand the boundaries of the possible, but also of desires for colonial expansion and control.
Today, as Arctic regions return to the center of global geopolitical ambitions-from Trump’s advanced aims for Greenland to tensions over control of polar routes-those challenges resonate with new force: the Arctic remains the place where the world’s future is reflected, as dazzling and vulnerable as then.

On vibraphone Luigi Vitale – vibraphonist and percussionist, graduated with honors in percussion from the Conservatory of Salerno, winner of the Massimo Urbani Award in 2004, carries out an intense concert activity between traditional jazz and experimentation, with numerous recordings to his credit.
