A session aimed at providing a comprehensive overview of the documentary filmmaking process, from idea development to distribution. The event includes practical insights through case studies of films produced by Taskovski Films, focusing on key aspects such as idea development, pitch deck and teaser creation to adapt to an ever-changing festival landscape. Participants and attendees will have the opportunity to understand how to transform local stories into internationally relevant productions, explore funding and co-production methods, and develop effective strategies to promote and distribute their films to a wider audience.

Irena Taskovski – CEO and founder of Taskovski Films, a film distribution and production company based in London with offices throughout Europe. She works as a consultant and expert in marketing, sales, financing and festivals for numerous film institutions, including HBO Europe, TRT World, Asian Cinema Fund, Dok.incubator CZ and Sources Germany. She is also Head Tutor for the Emerging Producers program at the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival in the Czech Republic. She founded the training program “Film Academy for Conscious Creative Leaders and Film Residencies,” focusing on the art of creative production and distribution. Irena was educated in Prague, graduating from FAMU, attended the Sam Spiegel Film and TV School in Jerusalem, and received an MA from the National Film & Television School in London, UK.
