The director of Quo Vadis, Aida? reflects on the visible and invisible scars that mark Sarajevo, nearly a decade after the end of the war.

In 1992 while an explosion causes the amputation of a young woman’s arm, a French photographer, instead of helping her, takes a photo that will make him famous. This event will forever change the life of the director of Quo Vadis Aida? and The Secret of Esma, who in her career has put the role of women in history at the center and who in this documentary will return to reflect on that event, turning the camera back to herself and on her first encounter with death and destruction.
