{"id":4299,"date":"2026-04-09T15:45:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T13:45:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pordenonedocsfest.it\/?p=4299"},"modified":"2026-04-09T15:45:11","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T13:45:11","slug":"niudoc-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pordenonedocsfest.it\/en\/niudoc-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"NIUDOC 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first phase of NIUDOC 2026 \u2013 <em>Where Stories Begin<\/em>, the program dedicated to the development of emerging young talents in documentary filmmaking, concluded during the 19th edition of Pordenone Docs Fest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Out of more than 75 applications received, six documentary projects were selected to take part in the development program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Il Kaiju Friulano<\/em> by Giulio Golfieri and Matteo Quaiattini<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Lumin<\/em> by Giovanni Bez<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>I Remember\u2026<\/em> by Arta Kroni<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>L\u2019Oro e il Miele<\/em> by Matteo Trevisan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Weird Bridges<\/em> by Faye Shu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Where Is My Bed?<\/em> by Ana Vu\u010di\u0107evi\u0107<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The selection was curated by Massimo Iannetti (Pordenone Docs Fest) and Linda Venturini (Lago Film Fest), in collaboration with filmmaker and visual artist Nika Saravanja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During this first phase, the filmmakers presented their projects through pitching sessions and one-to-one meetings with production companies from the Triveneto area and the Balkans, fostering a dynamic exchange of creative ideas and production perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The day concluded with an awards ceremony, during which the following prizes were presented:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Il Kaiju Friulano<\/em> by Giulio Golfieri and Matteo Quaiattini \u2013 Impronta Films Consultancy Award, in collaboration with Impronta Films<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>I Remember\u2026<\/em> by Arta Kroni \u2013 #DocsConnect Taskovski Training Award, in collaboration with Taskovski Films<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Where Is My Bed?<\/em> by Ana Vu\u010di\u0107evi\u0107 \u2013 NIUDOC 2026 Best Project Award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program will now continue with a tutoring phase supporting the authors in project development, scriptwriting, and the creation of pitch decks and teasers, from April to July.
